After years of juggling a day job; music composing, a garage band, a family consisting of a wife and four kids, and the occasional local bass tournament, I dropped all but the family and went on tour with FLW and WON Bass. A year and a half later, I realized the strain such a busy touring schedule put on my family. It also heavily affected my spiritual life. Without even giving it a second thought, I toned down the hectic side in order to tune up my relationships with Christ, and with my family. This came at a huge cost to me in regards to the sponsors, and supporters I had gained along the way. However, the ones that really mattered (the ones that really cared), stood by me and my family, my faith, and my mission to create this site for you.  

I listened to the Holy Spirit, and it spoke so softly and sweetly that I could no longer ignore my "inner voice". With the help and guidance of some of my dearest family and friends, and especially Wade Headrick, Jay Yelas, Chris Jones, and Sergeant Frank O'Laughlan of The National Guard, I learned what was most important in my life and restructured it accordingly. Following the examples of other Fellowship Of Christian Anglers Society (FOCAS) members, I began to see life as God's plan - not mine. Only after this acknowledgment could I really begin to enjoy myself on the water. God's water. I started this site with a mission to inspire and encourage that very philosophy.

Whether you have come across The Fish Icon to browse our Inspiration section, to shop, or just to take a break from the outside world, I want you to know that I am always here for you. My way of saying, "Thanks" to the brotherhood of Anglers, (Christian or otherwise), who have always been there for me.
