40 Halibut, 166 Spotted Sand Bass (Bay Bass), 453 Barred Sand Bass, 273 Calico Bass, 72 Sculpin & Rock Fish, 24 Sharks and Rays, 136 Exotics (lizardfish, croaker, jacksmelt, queenfish, mackerel, etc...)

1,164 total fish caught in the first quarter of 2012 from 43 trips. 93% of the fish were released.

Total Q1 Trips: 43, Anglers: 99, Catch Ratio: avg. 27 Fish per Trip, 12 Fish per Angler

News and Events

We booked 43 of the 90 days in the first quarter. A new company record. Normally, the first quarter is spent taking care of maintenance on the boats, the truck, rods and reels, and (of course) around the Nelson family home. There was a lot of that done. None-the-less, we found time to take some anxious folks out fishing in the calm waters in and around San Diego Bay.

With certain private issues keeping Capt James away from tournament fishing during 2012, he has had time to work on a few videos. Free content of fishing products and techniques which can be found on his YouTube channel.

Also, by keeping his away from the ranch time to just guided charters, Captain James limited himself to just one day of seminars at the Fred Hall show in Del Mar, CA.

A Record Breaking Start For The New Year
